Jim

Jim grew up in Toledo, OH.  He was raised by his wonderful parents, Angie and Jim.  He went to school at the University of Michigan where he studied business.  After graduating college he moved to Minneapolis where he “worked” for Best Buy.  He currently works at Aspen Waste Systems as a finance and operations analyst.  Jim enjoys playing hockey, golf, and watching awesome TV shows with Katie.

 

 

Katie

Katie grew up in the small town of Victoria, MN.  She was raised by her loving, caring, intelligent, beautiful, fantastic parents Dick and Bonnie Schaefer (they paid us to write that).  She went to school at Luther College where she studied Economics.  After college, Katie worked for Best Buy and met a cute boy.  She currently works at Target as a Business Intelligence Analyst.  Katie enjoys playing volleyball, cooking, and watching awesome TV shows with Jim.



How they met

Jim and Katie met on the gaming team at Best Buy.  Though they sat only 5 feet apart, it wasn’t until much later that Jim would learn that Katie not only understood his many Seinfeld references, but actually enjoyed them.  Her charade of only doing ‘work’ at work was crumbling fast.  They left Best Buy around the same time, but Jim was plotting how he would maintain contact with her.  He settled on a carefully calculated, totally not-obvious feigned interest in how much vacation she got at her new job, and how well her new coworkers adhered to the dress code.  Those important conversations soon blossomed into friendship, love, and pranks.  Two hundred sixty-two days later, Jim proposed to Katie at Minnehaha Falls.
